From perfecting your studio lighting to capturing the beauty of a product shoot, our workshops are designed to boost your technical skills and creative confidence.

With a curated collection of immersive photography and videography experiences set across the city’s most iconic and unexpected backdrops you can build an incredible body of work to be proud of.

From high-gloss eyewear and leather goods styled against the sharp lines of Sydney’s CBD, to sun-soaked swimwear shoots on secluded harbour beaches, and gritty urban street scenes bursting with character and colour — each workshop offers a new location, a fresh creative brief, and professional models to help you elevate your portfolio.

The models will be added to the events as they are booked.

1. What is the Summer Festival of Photography Workshops?
The Summer Festival is a four-month program of hands-on workshops held across Sydney, focusing on different photography styles such as fashion, street, portraiture, swimwear, and creative concepts.

2. Who can attend the workshops?
Our workshops are open to photographers of all levels—from beginners looking to build confidence with their camera to experienced photographers wanting to expand their portfolio.

3. Where will the workshops take place?
Workshops will be hosted at iconic Sydney locations, including beaches, city streets, parks, and rooftop venues. Each session is carefully curated to provide unique backdrops and creative opportunities.

4. How do I book a workshop?
Bookings can be made online through our website. Simply select your preferred workshop date and theme, then complete your registration and payment securely via Stripe or PayPal.

5. What do I need to bring?
Bring your own camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or advanced compact), charged batteries, memory cards, and any lenses you’d like to use. A notebook and water bottle are also recommended.

6. Do I need prior photography experience? Can I use my phone?
Not at all—each workshop is designed to accommodate different skill levels. Our instructors provide guidance tailored to your experience, so you’ll learn and create at your own pace. Yes you can use your phone.

7. Will models or subjects be provided?
Yes, many workshops feature professional models, styled shoots, or live subjects, so participants can focus on building their portfolio in real-world scenarios.

8. Can I attend multiple workshops?
Absolutely! Many participants book a series of workshops across the summer. We also offer multi-pass options for those who want to join several sessions at a discounted rate.

9. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If the weather is forecast for rain, the workshop is cancelled and you can have a credit or refund. Cancellation is typically decided 48 hours before the workshop.

10. Are refunds available if I can’t attend?
If you are a pass holder and you notify us no less than 72 hours before the workshop that you cannot make it, you can have a credit for another workshop (in the case of monthly passes the credit must be used within the month of your pass, ie; November)

If you are a ticket holder only, you may transfer the space to someone only

11. Do the models sign releases?
Yes the models sign releases outlining their use for social media accounts of the photographers and promotion of the photographers work. You cannot sell the images to stock libraries or agencies or use them for advertising of any product.

Print & Pixel aims to provide an informative, educational but also social environment for aspiring or working photographers or just those with an interest in digital media with likeminded individuals.

Our first workshop was in April 2025 and they have taken place almost every Saturday since then

We understand that sometimes plans change. To keep things fair for all participants and to ensure our workshops run smoothly, please note the following refund and cancellation terms:

Cancellations by Participants with passes

  • 48+hrs before the workshop – Credit towards a future workshop taking place within the month you bought the pass (monthly passholders)

  • Within 48 hours of the workshop – No refunds or credits available.

Cancellations by Participants with individual tickets

  • If you cannot attend for any reason refunds are not possible but you transfer your booking to someone else.

Cancellations by Us

  • If the workshop is cancelled by us due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, illness, venue issues), you will be offered either a full refund or a credit towards a future workshop.

Refund Processing

  • Refunds will be processed back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days. Credits will be applied immediately.

  • Process bookings and payments.

  • Communicate with you about workshops, events, and updates.

3. Payments and Security

All online payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal. These providers are PCI-DSS compliant and use secure encryption to protect your financial details. We do not have access to or retain your full payment information.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only with:

  • Service providers who assist with booking, payment, or communication.

  • Legal authorities if required by law.

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • Personal information is stored securely and only kept for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

  • After this period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

As the sun begins to disappear, we’ll take to the exterior of the Sydney Opera House for a Blade Runner-inspired fashion photography workshop, working with a professional model against one of the world’s most iconic architectural backdrops.

Our biggest seasonal programme yet. We’re offering a limited number of Pre-Release Summer Passes that give photographers first access to the initial round of sessions but you need to be quick, these pre-releases end on the 19th of September
